The Social and Cultural Action Service (Service Culturel et l'Action Sociale - SCAS) is tasked with organising, setting up, running and managing Social Action for Université Paul Sabatier staff. It contributes to improving working and living conditions for all permanent, temporary and retired staff, enhancing university life in partnership with other university structures (Department of Student Life), CEVU (Council on Studies and Student Life), SCUAPS (Service for Physical Activities and Sports).

Alongside the competent University departments, the department informs staff of their social rights. It helps with social issues and with access for all staff to the various types of social or cultural services and resources. It contributes to improving working and living conditions for all permanent, temporary and retired staff, enhancing university life in partnership with other university structures. (Department of Student Life, CEVU, SCUAPS).

With the aim of maintaining the University's open outlook, SCAS develops partnership cultural projects and initiatives.

SCAS works with the sports facilities to provide opportunities for sports participation.


The SCAS social, cultural and sports policy is decided by its Council, from proposals made by Committees and Activities sections which are open to all staff.
