The Cultural Department regularly hosts scientific or artistic exhibitions.
Université Paul Sabatier takes part in major events like the Festival of Science (Fête de la Science), and temporary exhibitions accompany certain colloquia and conferences, organised in partnership with the Cultural Department.
There is an exhibition space ready in the hall of the Forum Louis Lareng, at the entrance to No. 118 route de Narbonne. The space is particularly well adapted for photography. Five or six exhibitions are organised each year.
For the 2009 Festival of Science (Fête de la Science) and the 40-year celebrations at UPS, the Cultural Department has created a virtual tour of the works of the 1% artistique collection on the Université Paul Sabatier campus.
This project, known as UPSART, began as an inventory and referencing study of all the works, and was carried out at the start of the new Millennium by Pascale Monsour at the request of the Cultural Department.
The link below gives access to the virtual tour.
An exhibition called Fragments of Science will take place throughout the 2010/2011 academic year. Each month, in a display in the Science Library, a different, historic scientific instrument will be exhibited.
These physics instruments are part of our University's heritage. This will be an opportunity to learn about them. Carlos de Matos, physics teacher-researcher, and the Cultural Department have chosen some rare pieces on your behalf.
The website below will present each instrument as it is exhibited.
