The creation of a Bureau d'Aide à l'Insertion Professionnelle (BAIP - Office for Assistance in Finding Employment after Graduation) at UPS had the aims of:

1. developing initiatives to promote student contact with the business world:

• organising conferences on professions and recruitment;
• holding professional/employment forums;
• running workshops on techniques in finding a job/work placement.

2. strengthening discussion and partnership with the socio-economic world, regional communities and key figures in employment;

3. providing a area of resources for course tutors, especially to:

• take part in a discussion on a skills-based culture;
• help consolidate what has been learnt on work placements.
