Participate in UNIVERSEH 2.0 – 2nd Arctic Winter School in Kiruna, Sweden: A week of exciting lectures and study visits together with course mates from Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Luxembourg, Germany and Poland.

When?
From February 26 To March 1, 2024 in Kiruna.
+ two weeks work and interactive sessions from your home in Toulouse. Assignments, practical and project work.

Where?
Luleå University of Technology, Space Campus, Kiruna (200 kilometres above the Arctic Circle).
Accommodation in Kiruna & flights financed by the UNIVERSEH project.

Who?
Students from the UNIVERSEH alliance
Open to L3, M1 and M2 or equivalent, from all academic fields, with an English level of C1 or above.
Students with specific needs are encouraged to apply. UNIVERSEH will provide the support needed.

What?
Lectures on space, snow and ice, the history and cultural heritage of the Arctic :

  • Environment and society in the changing Arctic.
  • Polar atmosphere and its significance for solar-terrestrial interactions, space weather.
  • Auroral physics and observations.
  • Optical phenomena in the Polar Regions.
  • Snow and ice in different perspectives.
  • Arctic climate systems and climate change.
  • Nano satellites, rockets and balloons for polar research

+ pre-stay online Swedish course (optional but strongly encouraged)
