UT3 is a partner in the ECOSLIGHT project funded by the Erasmus+ programme (Sector Skills Alliances). This project aims to identify the required skills and job profiles related to smart, energy-efficient and sustainable lighting for infrastructures, cities, buildings and industry in order to meet market needs for environmentally-conscious smart lighting designers.

As a first step, the partners will collect data to analyse needs for skills among professionals who already work or would like to work in the lighting sector.
These needs will be addressed in the ECOSLIGHT project through several training programmes based on a learning outcomes approach (initial training) and continuing training (adult learning).

Participants in this training will develop skills focusing on lighting design and smart technologies, and on connected lighting that is respectful of ecological issues and human needs. Additional skills, including digital, entrepreneurship and health-related skills will also be included in the Vocational Education and Training Programme (VET) delivered by ECOSLIGHT to synthesise professional training modules.

The project is coordinated by Hellenic Open University (Greece).
