Université Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier has once again made the 2022 Shanghai ranking in both the overall and subject area categories.


It has maintained its position in the world's top 201-300 universities as well as its national ranking between 9th and 12th place out of the 30 French institutions considered in the rankings.

In subject area rankings, the university is one of the top 50 institutions for 4 disciplines out of 4,000 universities ranked worldwide: remote sensing, oceanography, Earth sciences and ecology. It is listed for 31 out of the 54 disciplines considered in the ranking.

In this 2022 edition of the Leiden bibliometric ranking, the university is ranked 8th out of the 30 French institutions considered in the rankings and 301th out of the 1,318 universities worldwide across 69 countries.

It is also the 8th ranked university in France for the gender diversity of its authors. This ranking is carried out by the Centre for Science and Technology Studies at Leiden University and is based on publications listed in the Web of Science database of Clarivate Analytics.
