Beyond UNIVERSEH

Published on March 20, 2023 Updated on April 9, 2024

Our institution is part of "UNIVERSEH" European university that will prepare students for careers of the future in the space sector.

The UNIVERSEH (European Space University of Earth and Humanity) alliance has acquired a research component in August 2021 thanks to the "Beyond UNIVERSEH" project, funded under the Horizon 2020 program "Science with and for the society (SwafS)", for 3 years.

Beyond Universeh aims to support the Research and Innovation dimension of the European University UNIVERSEH by bringing together researchers and stakeholders from different backgrounds, thus fostering the establishment of a highly multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral network to address the societal challenges of space and the new space.

Behind this European research project, the alliance has the ambition to be a committed player in the development of research in the space sector.

Beyond UNIVERSEH aims to develop and propose a research policy roadmap for 2035 and a space sector vision for 2050. This roadmap implements a sustainable and integrated research and innovation network within the UNIVERSEH alliance and beyond. Beyond UNIVERSEH furthermore creates a unique shared and collaborative virtual laboratory and research community, driving new collaborative and interdisciplinary methodologies, with the objective of continuously improving space research and innovation outcomes.

Collaborations and support from key stakeholders, such as national space agencies, strengthen the alliance's work to significantly transform the future landscape of space research and the new space, such as strengthening the links between education and research.
